Tom Cruise keeps ‘ruining’ filming of ‘Call the Midwife,’ star claims

Yes, OK, here comes Tom Cruise.

In a new interview, star Jenny Agutter claims that Cruise’s travel to Britain is allegedly interfering with the filming of the BBC drama “Call the Midwife.”

The 69-year-old actress told the Mirror: “Tom Cruise is ruining our shoot by landing his helicopter outside our location.

The “Top Gun” star, who has a pilot’s license, reportedly flew his helicopter over “The Midwife” in Surrey, England, causing quite a stir as the cast attempted to film scenes. Cruise is apparently filming “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part II.”

A representative for Cruise did not immediately return a Post request for comment. Agutter, who plays Sister Julianne, was asked if she’d be willing to talk about Cruise’s rough chopper habits.

“From my habit! Think about it. ‘Sorry, Tom, but look, we’re trying to film. I don’t know about you, but get your helicopter out of here quick!’” she joked.

Cruise is no stranger to the skies. In fact, he’s so agile in the air that he’s famous for doing his own stunts in the “Top Gun” movies.

“I always thought there was something I could do and I wanted to advance the art form. I thought, ‘How can you immerse an audience in a film with action like this? And how do I entertain them? What can I do?'” the 60-year-old actor said at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, describing his obsession with taking risks.

He even touched down on the latest “Mission: Impossible” set earlier this year in his own helicopter and flew to the “Top Gun: Maverick” premiere.

It seems the vanilla skies of Earth aren’t enough for Cruise, who aims to be the first actor to shoot a movie in space – with the goal of filming on the International Space Station.

“I think Tom Cruise is taking us into space, he’s taking the world into space,” Universal Filmed Entertainment Group president Donna Langley said, according to BBC News. “That’s the plan. We have a big project in development with Tom … taking a rocket to the space station and firing it.
